A cafe in the Tower
For those who are tired of or refuse to frequent Starbucks, The Revue in the Tower District is another option. It's also got personality with a comfortable art deco feel: maroon walls, black ceiling, a couple of enormous vintage posters, little black cafe chairs that seat two, counter, and booth against a wall...it's pretty cozy and well-worn. I don't see many high-schoolers here, mostly Fresno City College students doing homework and older people discussing the latest, most kicking back with a cup of your usual coffee drinks: hot or iced, tea, and pastries and other baked goods, though the selection tends to thin out by the afternoon. They also have pretty decent sandwiches.
